Anime Zero Traits and Enchants
Clarify Anime Zero trait and enchant terminology, distinguish modifier rerolls from skill-tree nodes, and choose the upgrade action for your problem.
In reviewed Anime Zero gameplay, traits and enchants describe the weapon modifier interface, and the enchanter is also called the trait station. The available demonstrations do not establish two separate, independently equipped modifier systems. Use the interface's selected weapon and effect to understand a guide's instruction.
The showcase below explicitly uses both terms around the same lobby progression area.
Compare the terms by their action
| Term | What the instruction refers to | What to inspect |
|---|---|---|
| Trait | A passive modifier on the selected weapon | The active effect and weapon name |
| Enchant / enchanter | Creator terminology for the modifier or its station | The same selected-weapon interface and index |
| Trait reroll | Spending to change the weapon modifier | Resource cost and result behavior |
| Skill-tree upgrade | Unlocking a weapon-specific stat node | The node effect and token requirement |
This distinction prevents a mistaken plan to stack a trait with an unverified separate enchant slot. If an update introduces another interface, follow the actual options displayed rather than assuming an older phrase proves the new system exists.
Choose the action that solves the problem
If you have unspent skill tokens and enemies take too long to defeat, inspect the weapon's available stat nodes. If the active modifier serves a different purpose from the run you are planning, compare the effects in the trait index. Those are separate decisions even when both aim to improve combat.
If your attacks miss or you remain close during dangerous cooldowns, practice the encounter as well. Buying a node or rolling a modifier does not automatically correct the execution problem.
Check the resource before confirming
The modifier station and skill tree display their own costs. Read the selected weapon, current effect or node, and required resource before proceeding. Do not treat weapon spins, trait rerolls and skill tokens as interchangeable balances.
For passive effects, read traits. For replacement, use trait rerolls; for stat-node spending, use skill tree upgrades.
Read the current node or modifier text in the official Anime Zero experience before spending the resource shown by that panel.
